April 4th, 2015 – Farmers Market

Arts & Artisans

HairPinsIt’s the time for our artists and artisans to return to the market. This weekend is a good opportunity to stop by and pick up gifts that you won’t find at the mall. In addition to Easter being this Sunday, we also have Administrative Professionals day on the 22nd (hey….. why not get your favorite administrative professional a small gift?), and, of course, Mothers day is May 10th. Get that shopping out of the way now. This week we have:

  • Pottery
  • Jewelry
  • Terrariums
  • Towels & Totes
  • Bird Houses
  • Wood Crafts

Peaches & Bueberries

Strawberries are on their way out…. but don’t fret cause Florida peaches are here and blueberries are on their way. Check out Brown’s Grove this weekend for Florida peaches.  Get there early because it’s the start of the peach season and the crops are small.

Music

BobKraemerGuitarOur Artisan Day music will be performed by our friend Bob Kraemer. You can check out Bob’s Facebook page here. You can also catch Bob April 2nd, 7pm at the Old Packing House and April 3rd, 6pm at Arts & Eats in Bradenton,

Photos

It was a very busy holiday and winter season, but we finally got photos from the farmers market up from the past few months. You can see the 2014 photo album here where we have added the months of November and December. The 2015 photo album is viewable here where we have January, February, and March.

Next Week

goats2GOATS GOATS GOATS GOATS!!! Next week is our “Country Meets City” day when the folks from Old Miakka Farmers Market trek into the city and set up their wares with us. This will be the third instalment and each one has been great! One of the highlights is that Glenna brings her goats and Mr. Darcy the turkey.
