Keeping Romaine firm and crisp.
Even the freshest, straight-from-the-farm lettuce can get a little rubbery after a couple of days. Keeping your romaine lettuce firm and crisp is easy. Simply put the lettuce in a tall pitcher, fill most of the way with water, and put it in the refrigerator. Even lettuce that is already a little limp will perk right up after a few hours in a refrigerated bath!
