9:30am – Selection and Growing Tips for Spring Flowering Plants with Robert Albritton.

albritton-nurseryMr. Albritton is a Sarasota native who is an expert in growing Poinsettias, Easter lilies, Hydrangeas and annuals. He sits on several local agriculture and growing committees including the Manasota Chapter of the Florida Nursery Growers & Landscape Assn., Sarasota Ag Council and Extension Service Advisory Committee.

The Albritton Nursery has been growing and selling plants locally for over 30 years.

10:15am – Urban Backyard Chickens: Egg Production and Care with Ira Klineschmidt.

11:00am – Health Benefits of Grass Fed, Hormone Free, & Antibiotic Free Beef, Pork, & Lamb with John Bennet

Grass Fed BeefWe are very fortunate to have a visiting rancher from Beulah Farms in Lancaster, North Carolina: John Bennet. John raises and sells beef and pork that is free of hormones, antibiotics, and dangerous chemicals. He will be discussing the benefits of eating meat products that are ethically raised, grass fed, and free of harmful ingredients.
